Do You Still Wear Jeans?

I don't wear the thick sturdy roomy-leg jeans that I used to wear when I spent time doing barn chores. But I now wear the softer stretch jeans all the time. I'm not sure I own anything else now that I only have belongings that fit in my car/suitcases.

Some think they are only for the young. I watched two young girls snickering and pointing at a lady today wearing jeans, she had to be over 70, but she was sporting the ripped jean look with the rips in obvious places meant to show skin, lots of skin.

They were not laughing at me and I was wearing jeans and a tee. Or maybe they were behind my back. Do the young think they have a monopoly on fashion?

Nothing a comfy as a well worn pair of jeans for me.
Nothing is only for young people. I see any age only as a number. It is the health that counts in life. I agree with you and jeans why not.

I love jeans but I've never had a comfortable pair. I have an hour glass shape, a small hour glass at one time and bigger one now, but it's still the same fitting problem. If I get jeans big enough in the bottom, they stand out like a barrel around my waist. If I buy them to fit my waist and legs, the seat is so tight I can barely sit down.

So it's elastic waist, black pants for me most of the time, white slacks in the summer.

Back in 1950s I started to wear black jeans for horse back ridding.
If I remember correctly, they were $1.97 for a pair.

Now days I buy the cheap men's Wanglers at Walmart , about $13.
Men's jeans seem to be heavier material than ladies.
Toss them in tub of hot water & bleach, seems to make them bit softer.

One pair of my work jeans has hole at knee,, works well for cooling.
The other work pair are patched at the knee.

I have ladies jeans in different colors for 'dress'.
Don't think I own a dress any more. 🙃

Stopped wearing jeans a few years ago, after I realized I would get a backache from wearing them all day. I even slashed the band around the waist to ease the pressure. Didn't help enough. Now I only wear elastic waist pants, any color, although black and white are my favorite. This pressure on my back and resulting backache has affected what clothing I can comfortably wear.

you know you can get elastic waist jeans... or just half elastic waist ...

I love wearing jeans! I will wear the ripped ones too...but since I moved to Florida I only like wearing them a few months when the weather cools down..otherwise, the hot and humid weather is not conducive to jean wearing
