Google Search and G-mail issues

It probly happened because Google was adding some new extensions or settings or whatever, and something was running in the background, so it got stuck. Restarting forces your computer to close any background tasks so updates can finish.

This doesn't happen very often.

It was a first for me! I will try to remember to try restart when I have an issue, from now on.

It might have just needed a few minutes to resolve itself, which you gave it when you restarted your computer. I was having problems a few minutes ago with gmail and now it's working.

But I agree that when software isn't working properly, it's often resolved simply by restarting the computer.
 
I couldn't get into Gmail or Google for at least an hour. As I said, I've never had issues with them before.

From now on, I will always try the restart, first thing.
 
It took a while this morning, but only a few minutes, that
was my PC just being switched on.

I don't use Google, but this week I've had two people tell me their g mail isn't working properly.
