we had the same when we lived on the Naval Bases, we had stores that only we as military personel could use .. they're called N.A.A.F.I ..I remember when I was a kid, we'd go to a military base that had a commissary that sold groceries as well as other things (my Dad was a Marine). My parents would spend about $100 which seemed like such a huge sum of money (and it was back then) but we filled the back of a station wagon with all of the bags of food (brown grocery bags, btw). Now, to spend $100 is nothing. Terrible how times have changed.
This ^^^^!!!! OMG. It's out of control. Got any old phone books around?View attachment 225748
We went to Walmart to to pick up a few items, 15 to be exact. Last year my Red Diamond tea was $1.75, maybe a little less. Today it’s $3! Most expensive item was the Charmin for $18.77!!
Yeah, I discovered a restaurant supply outlet that caters to the public, while living at our mountain cabinMost expensive item was the Charmin for $18.77!!
I completely agree. I just wish we could figure out a way to break the cycle. The cost of greed, they are about to kill the goose, and they don't care. They will just come in when it's all gone to hell, and buy everything up for pennies on the dollar, and start the cycle again. We are the victims of parasites.
Sorry to use this cliche' = It's always darkest before the dawn.Terrible how times have changed.
There will maybe be a seeming relief, a respite, a time when "peace, peace" "all is well"I completely agree. I just wish we could figure out a way to break the cycle.
People are struggling or going without groceries needed for a week or a month,The cost of greed, they are about to kill the goose, and they don't care. They will just come in when it's all gone to hell, and buy everything up for pennies on the dollar, and start the cycle again. We are the victims of parasites.
This seems dark and scary to me.Sorry to use this cliche' = It's always darkest before the dawn.
But since it has been getting darker and darker every day for years, and will continue to do so,
remember it is or has been necessary, to hang on, don't give up, because the end is getting closer.
We all who survive or live through all this must realize we have to go through all this to get to the next 'cycle' = true justice, final justice, finally, the end of this life, and a new life to start without any pain nor sorrow ever again for those who believe.
There will maybe be a seeming relief, a respite, a time when "peace, peace" "all is well"
when a world power or figure or system
offers common money to everyone - just go along with the system and "we will give you" x-thousand dollars every month.
This will be complete deception, though, or of course, before the end comes.
The way to break the cycle is obvious. But not forthcoming.I completely agree. I just wish we could figure out a way to break the cycle.
Yes , it is dark and scary to and for the whole world, billions of people in the dark. This seems dark and scary to me.

Truckers will soon be parking their rigs as fuel continue to rise. I saw one owner who had 3 trucks and was paying $20,000 a month to fill them!!!!Yup, and it's only going to get worse....especially if these fuel prices continue to stay so high. Virtually Everything we buy is affected by the cost of fuel...from manufacturing to delivery. Fewer and fewer farmers are planting crops this year, due to the high cost of diesel, and that is going to result in a substantial food shortage on many items in coming months....which will drive grocery prices even higher.
...and you can double that here in the UK..because we're now paying £9 plus per gallonTruckers will soon be parking their rigs as fuel continue to rise. I saw one owner who had 3 trucks and was paying $20,000 a month to fill them!!!!
