Prince Charles Accepted $3M in Cash Stuffed Into Bags and Suitcases From Sheik

I heard about this maybe a year ago. Rumor has it the sheik was buying honors from the prince with these contributions. That's why it's under investigation.

".....anti-Monarchy campaign group Republic said they will write to U.K. regulator the Charity Commission asking for an investigation.

Graham Smith, chief executive, said in a statement: "This story is shocking. Prince Charles met Sheikh Hamad in private, with no officials present and with no disclosure of the meeting in the court circular.

"The Sheikh then made three payments directly and personally to Prince Charles, totaling €3m, which Charles gave to a charity he set up to pursue his pet projects and help run one of his estates."

"Given that Prince Charles has direct access to the British prime minister and all government ministers, as well as all cabinet papers, this raises serious ethical questions about what the sheikh expected in return."

Shady is just everywhere. So much going on we'll never know about. Us little people working and paying taxes.

Prince Charles does a lot for sustainable farming and organic farming, I thought his idea was to make UK more independent from importations because so many UK resources that used to be going concerns have been completely dropped for foreign goods. He is trying to build England back up. I hope he puts that money to good use in his projects.

trying to build England back up ?.. back up from what ?

Prince Charles is known to accept ''donations'' from very wealthy people. When there's any kind of Charity party going on, he only invites the richest.. and they will tell you that he immediately asks for a sizeable donation for a project or 2 he has in mind.

He hasn't actually done anything illegal

The Prince of Wales is facing an investigation over a suitcase containing a donation of 1m euros from a former Qatari prime minister.

The Charity Commission said it would be reviewing the donations received by The Prince of Wales’s Charitable Foundation (PWCF).The Sunday Times claimed the prince personally accepted cash donations of three million euros in total for his charity the Prince of Wales’s Charitable Fund (PWCF) between 2011 and 2015 from Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim who is a former prime minister of Qatar.

Clarence House said the donations were “passed immediately” to one of the prince’s charities and that “appropriate governance” was carried out.

“Charitable donations received from Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim were passed immediately to one of the Prince’s charities who carried out the appropriate governance and have assured us that all the correct processes were followed,” a statement said.

Charities are permitted to accept donations in cash, but the Charity Commission has guidance that encourages all to follow to ensure appropriate due diligence when accepting donations.

The Sunday Times reported that on one occasion a donation of one million euro in €500 notes was handed over in a suitcase during a meeting at the prince’s residence, Clarence House.

PWCF has been contacted for comment but its chairman Sir Ian Cheshire told the newspaper “there was no failure of governance."

The charity, founded in 1979 with a mission to transform lives and build sustainable communities, awards grants to UK registered non-profit organisations to deliver projects in the UK, Commonwealth and overseas.
