I have one of this kind 120 volt plug in door bell and goes off by itself once in a while.
Pure weird: door bell rings with nobody there.

Unplug/Reset it in the outlet...the contacts might not be making good contact, or they may have a little corrosion. Also, if there are any batteries involved, either in the doorbell unit, or the door "ringer" you might want to check them.

Yes, The week after my husband died, my washing machine kept going on, CONSTANTLY!
Don't know if it was him or a power surge. had to unplug it!

My Girlfriend called me at Kroger's at night one telling me a old lady that looked like the former owner that died was chasing her down the hallway and into her bedroom. Got to remember girlfriend has Bi-polar and this before she was taking her medicine
