Did you have the Dick & Jane reader? I still remember Sally's bright yellow hair. I get a warm fuzzy feeling when I think of Dick & Jane. Apparently, they lived in a world with a heck of a lot of seeing, looking, and running.
BTW, I don't remember, did they have a cat?

Oh yes! I was brought up with Dick and Jane and Puff the cat and Spot (I think) the dog. I remember Puff the cat getting into some makeup and making a big mess. Of course, it wouldn't be allowed today. Dick and Jane and their parents were all white. My, what a terrible crime! There were no coloured folks and no non-gender types. Life was simple and in some way much better. Oh yes, Dick and Jane played outside and they didn't even have a smartphone to download porn sites. Poor Dick and poor Jane! Must of been a hard life? LOL

I have a Catholic Dick & Jane book. It's the same plot but they go to Parochial school and pray a lot. I've always wondered if there was a Jewish one, too.

Maybe there was? I don't know. Today, of course, Dick would have to wear a turbin and Jane would have to have a scarf over
her head. Why? Just to satisfy the politically correct out there who have nothing better to do! I wish those politically correct tried to solve the global warming crisis which, I believe, is a real problem.
