Monkeypox outbreak declared a global health emergency

The whole thing is a farce! It is getting to the point that I'm starting to think that a lot of our media is just "one big joke." Sure, there are forest fires and there is global warming but declaring monkeypox an emergency is just one big laugh. No wonder the world is in trouble!
 

Well I knew this was coming! When they first said that Monkeypox wasn't a concern. :cautious:
@Jeni Maybe people aren't dying from it but it sure as hell isn't something people want to come down with! I saw a young man on T.V. who said he didn't feel very sick except that the blisters are very painful. I would definitely want to know my risk...what areas is it prevalent in, did they discover more modes of transmission, etc. It's the duty of those in public health (communicable diseases) to warn when outbreaks of this nature start spreading in this manner.

Any health organization can disperse information without declaring a emergency or crisis they do that because so many throw FUNDS $$$ at those declarations...
the risks and where it is happening of various illnesses can be found if people are interested to look it up ...
i looked up items of case and information on many websites local health departments .....
it has made the news people have seen the blisters looking up how transmitted and caught if they think it is a possibility
but crisis and emergency mode all the time is like the old fable of crying wolf
 
If a vaccine for monkey pox is offered in my area I most certainly will be getting it.

As a young adult I had chicken pox and it was terrible. Every place there was a red
spot it felt like a needle was pushed in and the pain and itching was dreadful.

I think money pox disease can spread to anyone.
