The Battle of My Brain and the Mirror

Tell us more about the ongoing battle of your mirror versus brain.

What a good way to get everyone's attention.
Aunt Bea's post says it all.
I was a very physical person and loved being in my body doing all that could be done. I surfed, swam in the ocean for hours, played many sports and was always active physically in my work. The problem I have with my brain is it doesn't agree with the mirror and I end up paying the price. Like the other day, my daughter asked me to pick up a tree at the nursery. No problem, until I unloaded it from my truck and was reminded by my body that it was a bad idea. Nothing bad, just some sore muscles a couple of Bufferin took care of. Point being, I still don't always think like what my body is. Just part of the fun of growing old.

Hello all. I'm in Northern California and found this site online. So far it been interesting and sometimes thought provoking, Seems like there are a lot of good people here. Looking forward to our time together.
Provoked thought: "You are only as old as you feel." But, some mornings I awake to thoughts of grand adventures and physical challenges... then, I try to get out of bed and find that is challenge enough for the day!
