First time here.
Hi Everyone! I’m happy to be here. I hope to learn about what you’d like to share and maybe bring some light and cheer to all after my introduction which is a little sad but bear with me please.

I’ve had very Little contact with friends and family. COVID isolation, major surgery, Distance and illness seem to be taking this usually, happy social gal (me) on a new different path in life.
My husband is fighting Stage 4 lung cancer metastasized to liver. Because of chemo and effects of cancer, he is weak, tired and has chemo brain ( forgetful and confused).
Our family and friends have slowly disappeared since diagnosis. I am caring for him the best I can.
About Me:
I am an ex- kindergarten/1st grade teacher and also adult English language and American culture tutor. I love Art and am very gifted in Interior and Graphic design. I’ve had an online charity based boutique business - on hold now. Mom of 4 grown adopted children out of the area. I love people and hope to have a chance to chat with you. Thank you!

Hi Ms Noble!

Welcome to the forum! I'm in So Cal, too! Agoura Hills Oak Park area (Ventura County). So sorry to hear about your husband's struggles with cancer! I have cancer too, also stage 4 metastatic. Only mine is prostate cancer which is under very good control right now, thanks to UCLA Health and my wonderful team at UCLA. I really don't even notice it too much except for the side effects of the meds I'm taking. I also used to be a teacher (2nd career LOL) a high school independent study teacher, along with my wife who started as an elem teacher but became an elem principal. Hope your day is wonderful! Hang in there! Until next time..

Welcome! I think you will find the chats here interesting, I do.

Sorry to hear about your husband's condition, I know that's hard. My mother went that way, lung cancer is an awful disease. You and your husband have my sympathy.

My mother was also a teacher, both English and for a time Elementary School. Teachers are good people.

You will find people here who will listen and support you as best they can. Don't hesitate to tell us more, whatever you are feeling!

Yah, we are pretty common. At least this give me some anonymity in case 'Steve Hansen' happens to say or do unpopular stuff, which seems to happen fairly often.

Welcome to the forum, from Toronto. I'm sorry to hear of your dear husband's cancer. Unfortunately, it has a history in my family too. I hope you find some interest in the topics here.

Hope we can lift your spirits a tad. It is tough dealing with loved ones with terminal illness, but I am sure your attentiveness and loving care are most appreciated by your husband.
God bless and join the fray.
