I'm a life long book reader,since 2000,kept a book journal of all the books I've read. I write a short recap {1-3 sentences} of books I loved/liked, the ones I didn't I put DNF/L{didn't finish or like} in margin Once in awhile if I read a book critics raved about/won Pultizer Prize I didn't like,I say to myself 'You got to be kidding"

When I was young I started saving all the books I liked and stashing them here at the cabin to read in my retirement. I found out my "taste" in books has changed over the decades. Lots of them have been donated to a local library.

I put RNM on my lists (which are by genre). Read no more (books by this author).

This reminds me of the time, when my kids were young (6 or 7), and the whole family was in the den. I looked around because it was so quiet, and all 6 of were reading. It was the first time that happened, and it is a cherished memory.
