Imagine, if you will, a “being” so large it could place our planet on a slide under a microscope and observe what was occurring on this tiny speck. All of the forms of life that exist together on this tiny orb at first glance, co-existing in apparent harmony. Then, after studying it for some time, that “being” realized there was one life form that was destroying the other life forms and was consuming with great voracity all of the required elements that would sustain life seemingly for eternity.
Now, an intelligent being could only presume that this destructive life form was some type of virus or an invasive bacteria and that eventually this tiny living orb would create a means to deal with this, much like most living creatures this "being" had witnessed doing the same when they were infected. But, what this "being" was seeing was the destructive life form was able to fight off all that the tiny orb threw at it. The “being” then realized that this life form would eventually destroy itself once the orb could no longer support its behavior. The end.
