Food poisoning incidents at Wendy's

When you think of all the people around the world that handle our food and the different health and safety standards it’s amazing that we don’t see more of this type of thing.

I wonder if it is all from the same source. There was an outbreak of E-Coli in Germany, which was traced to one outlet which used sewage water to irrigate the fields.

Wendy's is the only fast food joint that my wife and I have ever been in, and we only did it for the experience. And what an awful experience it was. It was in Chattanooga, we had never been into Burger King, McDonalds or elsewhere, so we went into Wendy's. I still shudder at what was served up as a meal. But there you go, we have had the experience and lived to tell the tale.

Don't leave us hanging..do tell ......the thing is with Franchises, it all depends on whose running it .. so you might have got a particularly bad one . I don't know, I've never been in a Wendys'...

Yes! Yesterday I was making lentil soup and wanted spinach in it. Usually I buy frozen, but this time I bought a bag. I washed it extremely well!

I buy Romaine by the head, not bagged. Easier to wash, too.
It helps to soak veggies in water with a little vinegar and salt as well. (Cept mushrooms; they'll absorb the tastes.)

It was an eye opening experience, that's for sure. What we didn't know was, how to order. I assumed that there would be a menu, we learned that above the serving counter are photos of the meals on offer, you just choose one and that's it.

"What can't be mutilated," I said aloud, "chicken," my wife said, in tune with my thinking. We ordered, chicken, fries and salad. The chicken came served in a bun. It even looked disgusting. "Looks like a carpet burger," mused my wife. We sat there for ten minutes trying to make it look like we had eaten some of it, but in the end we just left it, and left Wendy's.

Nowadays you see long queues at McDonalds drive through, not for me thank you.
