A farmer who was attacked by a troop of 30 enraged monkeys plunged to his death from a roof while trying to escape from them.

Horilal, 52, from Baduan, was on the roof of his house on the evening of August 30 when the angry primates charged him.

Trying to escape the attack, he moved to flee but fell from the roof....

What's more frightening is that the attacks look like revenge...

According to latestly, monkey attacks are on the rise, with a spate of violent incidents.

In June, more than 50 people were injured in Kolkata when the primates set upon residents of three villages in Swarupnagar. And since July, three deaths have been caused by monkey attacks.

A baby boy died on July 15 after a group of monkeys took him from his father's arms.

The four-month-old was thrown from the roof of a house in Bareilly by the primates.

On July 30, a 35-year-old woman was attacked by a monkey and died two weeks later.

It comes after more horrific incidents in 2021 saw ferocious monkeys killing 250 dogs.

They dragged the animals to the top of buildings and trees and dropped them.

Residents of the villages of Majalgaon and Lavul said at the time that the acts of violence were carried out 'in revenge' after a pack of dogs killed one of the monkeys' infants.

Absolutely devastating what happened to the farmer. He of course would have been terrified in trying to get away, but sadly he couldn't.

Unimaginable pain the parents of the two babies must be going through, the woman's family as well those injured at those Monkeys hands.

I saw a few video links a while ago, the viciousness of the Monkeys were horrendous to watch.

To think tho' that they snatched a baby and killed it after a dog killed one of their babies.. and then systematically took 250 dogs and dropped them from a height and killed them one by one.. just give you the chills to know they deliberately went after revenge in a systematic way..

Those kind of monkeys, that may be held in high esteem in some countries are what scares me. They have learned that there is no danger for them, they are very smart.

The only monkees I have been close to were spider monkeys that were pets of one of my sons friends. They were from money, mansion of a house complete with monkey room in the house and open air enclosure in the back yard. They were cute but for me I can't imagine having one.

I just want a new batch of squirrels that will come up on the patio for their snacks while I am in my chair.

when dd was young we used to go to Safari Parks, and the monkeys would be all over the car... I never thought they were cute..

Yeah, I get that, the monkees at the parks are not at all cute. The friend of my son had little tiny monkees about 4 or 5 pounds. They would sit on her shoulder. I would be afraid of anything bigger!!
