..if you can help it ?

What would you hold onto at all costs if you can afford to have it..?

For me it's, SuperFast fibre Optic Broadband..... and my nails done every couple of months

Good quality butter and cheese...

..and the annual service on my car. It's important to me to have my car and the internet as my contact with the outside world

What about you folks ?

Like you my car and probably my house. And I sure like my internet connection as well.

Hard to be real specific, easier to think of things I could give up. I could go to less expensive foods, though it would be hard to eat "American" cheese. Less on clothing as well, not that I spend a lot on it now. Just shutting down my Amazon account would help.

Hey @hollydolly , like your new picture, a very pretty lady!

Superfast broadband! We should be so lucky. We used to get a carrier pigeon every day with 2 bytes of data and a message saying that they didn't give a damn about remote Scottish villages. Eventually we got sick of broken promises and excuses and bought a 4G router and a Tesco Sim. It's adequate for browsing, online shopping etc..

I don't economise on food quality. This doesn't mean that I don't look for bargains - I can spot a reduced sticker at 50 paces :D

My cats. Having had a kitty who was diabetic for over 11 years and lived to old age, I never resented a penny I spent on her. Though she was mostly stable.

Juniper had an abdominal ultrasound last year and Talia is going to a new vet next Tuesday.

I would never spend just to keep them alive, quality of life is important but if something can be fixed, I'm alright with that.

I'm on the same page as other posters - high speed internet and my car and house in good repair are high on my priority list.

Even so, having been in difficult financial straits a few times in my life, all expenses are subject to review and cuts when the rubber meets the road. Above listed priorities included.

It's surprising how many "necessities" we can live without when the funds just aren't there.

Let's see....I won't economize on
anything that would impact my health or that of my dog
affect the integrity of my home (keeping it safe and sound)
upkeep of my vehicle
internet and cell phone
trips to see my family and friends

My wardrobe of made to measure clothes, my collection of Hawaiian shirts, my shoes, hats. My vintage MG.
But, they are just my foibles, as long as the lady who said yes when I proposed all those years ago, is by my side until journey's end, that's all I ask for.
Ahem, do you remember the actor, Paul Freeman? He played the part of Dr. Rene Belloq in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

My tailor is making me a similar suit of that era.
