A few days ago, I found a letter in my mailbox that came from a neighbor across the street.
He complained that a small area in my front yard was an "eyesore" because it had a few weeds (about 5-6 inches tall) in it & no flowers or grass.
He said, "You have a lovely home; why not take care of your yard?"
Then, he said, "I hope I'm not being rude."
He knows we are under severe water restrictions due to drought & the city will impose big fines for watering yards.
I responded: "Instead of making an ass out of yourself, find a job or a hobby or a companion - if you can find anyone who could stand you."
He's been ignoring me ever since, & I feel so rejected.
