If this day and time is workable for most of you, I will post the Zoom link on my profile Tuesday night and send out reminders Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

I'm so excited that we are doing this again. 🥰

When I worked in Kuwait and Saudi, that wasn't a very positive answer, something like mañana in Spanish, LOL.

Looking forward to see you there!
Looking forward to seeing you there too Rob❣️ We say Inshallah because though it is our sincere intention to be somewhere or do something, God may have other plans for us. Non religious sayings that are in the same vein:
"Life is what happens to you when you are making other plans".
"I'll be there if "the crick (creek) don't rise".
And of course theres...
"Sh*t happens!" :D

Hi One Eyed Diva..hope you don’t mind the correction but.. the correct way to write “If Allah wills” is: in Sha’ Allah (three words are used). It takes on a different meaning when written as “inshallah.”

Medusa: apologies for intruding on your thread

No worries! :)

Thank you for the correction Sister. I've seen it written both ways but mostly as all one word. So what is the meaning when it's written as one word?

@OneEyedDiva Anymore, I guess, when you pull in the name of God, Allah, Yahweh, it gets easily misinterpreted. If all you wanted to say was ‘I’ll be there, if all is ok then, tomorrow, etc.”, in plain conversational Arabic, just say, “Yalla…bokra eh.”.

I'm so sorry, but it now looks like I am going to miss this. My Hubby is off on Wednesday, and it is our last chance to go to the State Fair of Texas before it ends. It is a yearly ritual. We can't give up our annual fried foods!

That's completely understandable. Who can give up fair food? That only comes around once a year and must be indulged in. 🙂🥨🥮🍭

Thank you but "if all is okay" isn't what I meant to say. Muslims I know usually state their (our) intentions to attend something or do something after which we say God willing or as Sister @Jamala said "If Allah wills".

@OneEyedDiva Understood. And if it actually happens by the will of Allah, we say "Mashallah". As recently as 3 years ago, I "dated" an amazing Muslim man who taught me a lot about the Arabic language, culture and Islam religion. Heck, I even learned to pray the salah! Bismillah.

Good Morning all. ☀️

Today is Coffee Klatch day and I have posted the invite on my profile. You don't have to have Zoom to participate; simply follow the link and punch in the ID and Passcode provided. You may (I think I did that right lol ) be placed in a waiting room, wereupon I will put you in the meeting room. - I'm hoping in this way to keep strangers at a bay.

Because I have a basic account, we will be limited to 40 minutes, but as we've done in the past, if we want to continue, I can quickly set up and post (here) new meeting codes and we can all jump back in.

Hope to see you there. :coffee: :)
