Do you think it's OK to discuss your randier days with your ADULT kids/grandkids ?

Believe it or not, some of us were not as chaste and pure as the driven snow in our younger days. Some still aren't.
Do you think it's OK to discuss your randier days with your Adult kids/grandkids?

One sister typically likes to tell my son's about at least one of my misadventures growing up, when were are together during the holidays.

I can't pay her back as she doesn't have children.

We all tell our kids growing up that we met at a Church picnic.

Then when they are adults we spill the beans..."Your Mom picked me up at a Biker Bar!" lol!

No, I wouldn’t share. If they asked, I might turn around and ask if they’d like to give details of their latest dalliance. Actually, using the word dalliance should shut them up.

If there's a lesson in it for them, then yes, definitely. But not for casual conversation.

IMO, it isn't at all unhealthy for kids to know that their parents were good people who made mistakes.

My Dad always told me to "Do as I say, not as I do", he also made it clear that included past tense! Any experiences I have passed on to my kids and grandkids has always included a bit of censorship...some things are best learned by experience, not by being told how and what...

When my daughters were toddlers and couldn't read yet, I left a note on the kitchen table for my wife which read, "I'll catch ya later for a Boff!"

My elderly mother dropped in for a visit, and I forgot the note was left on the table. My old Mom read it and asked, "Patrick? What is a Boff??"

My face turned ochre, but I regrouped quickly and said, "Oh. A Boff is a new coffee from Starbucks! We're going to meet later for a coffee!"

Mom bought it, but can you say....AWKward MOment!!

I've had discussions with my kids that was open and honest, it's a breath of fresh air for them as their mother has always maintained her facade, which quite frankly shows her phoniness.

My late husband told everyone he met me at a waterfront bar where I was dancing on the bar and
in the middle of a barfight. He rescued me by carrying me kicking and screaming out of the bar.
