Anyone have a recommendation for a home printer?

Going in opposite direction here, and suggesting what not to buy. I got this because of past good luck with brand. Now I am not techno dumb, and have set up countless printers over the years...for myself and friends. This one was, for some reason a B**** to set up Ended up spending over an hour on phone with support...and they had to remote access my laptop
I mean, it works well...but Damn

I like my Epson ET 2750. It uses ink tanks. You pour the ink into the printer from separate bottles, Magenta, Cyan, Yellow and black. There are no expensive cartridges to replace and never any mess. It prints and scans with very high quality. The bottles of ink are quite inexpensive and last for quite a while, a year or more for me. The cost of the ink per page is virtually zero.

Do any of you have a home printer that you LOVE, LOVE, LOVE?
What kind of printer is it?
My printer is at Staples

I massage the pic with ms-paint
Then email it to Staples
Pick it all up in an hour
Color usually less than a buck

No printer mess
Their paper
Their huge professional printer

More room in the office for needful things

No, the nearest Staples is 300 miles away. There is an Office Depot 140 miles away.

I'll think about it another day.

I spoke too soon. The first copy came out well after I shook up the cartridges but the rest are the same.

Like you said, it might be the cartridges. I know when I got my Canon, the cartridges that came with it didn't last long. I do a lot of printing (for classes), so it's a workhorse.

Dr. Jekyll and Nathan, You have both peaked my interest for a laser printer because I do a lot of printing. They run a few thousand dollars though, don't they?
The one we bought for average home use that I referenced in my post #15 that works great every time is this one. We bought it at Walmart.

I started with Epson. Had a few Hewlett-Packard printers, and always liked them. My current one is a Canon. I preferred my last HP one. It was a copier/scanner/Printer.

I use an HP Deskjet 3830 all-in-one printer that uses 2 cartridges. Very pleased with print quality. I had a terrible job setting it up with a USB connection due to software incompatibility, but it works great with a wireless connection.

+1 for a laser printer, particularly a Brother. I've been printing from the same cartridge for almost 2-1/2 years, whereas my previous inkjets seem to only print less than 10% of their rated capacity.
I agree. If you’re buying a new printer, I suggest a laser. Better all the way around. I have an HP M283 color all in one. I also do the same as Nathan. If I want to print color pictures, I send them to Walmart and pick them up in an hour. For the cost of color, price wise, I do better letting them print the pictures. I take a lot of pictures, but don’t print them all. I keep them in albums by date, so they are easier to find.
