Want to see how busy one street can be ? Christmas lights in Oxford st switched on, London 2022

This was tonight in Oxford street in London.. for the switching on of the Christmas lights... pretty enough, but nothing like previous years.. very possibly due to the extortionate energy prices.. but here's a 5 minute Video to show you just how many people turned out tonight to watch the great switch on...anyone who can't wait.. the lights get turned on at 2 mins 30..

that was tonight... and you're right , I can't handle crowds like that either.. because you can't even get into a pub or restaurant to even get a drink because they will all have been packed out tonight... better to sit at home and watch it on Youtube...lol...

I was thinking I might go into the city and see them for myself this year.. but it looks like due probably to the high Electricity prices that for the first time in History they might not be worth going to visit ...
 

That's too many people. Between COVID and yet more variants, people targeting crowds for their violent acts and the possibility of a situation like the stampede in Korea...I wouldn't want to be there. Plus, it's likely that everything will wind up on YT and I can watch from the comfort of my recliner on my HDTV.
