OMG NYC Trains Graffiti inside

I don't take the subways these days, in fact the last time I was on the subway, I was taking out of town guests to Coney Island, that was in 2019. There was no graffiti. Graffiti was really bad in the 70s & 80s.
I would not get on the subway today, for reasons other than graffiti.

we're fortunate.. in the UK our subways ( Tubes in London Subway in Scotland ).. are safe.. gotta watch out for pickpockets, but other than that, they are a very safe way to travel...

yes so when was the last time you were unsafe on the tube ?... and show me all the reports of terrible things which are happening on the Tube..
My husband worked for london transport for years And there was always something going on stabbings people being thrown under the trains etc etc
Look at the link I’ve just posted Holly
God knows where you get your information from !!!!

I know safety on the subway is often a matter of perception, i.e., "why is that creep over there looking at me?" or "I must watch everything so no one can push me on the tracks."

Lately, I've developed a fear, but it's really due to my feelings about myself, that I am no longer the powerful person I once was and may now look like a victim to some people.

the fact is there are hardly ever any media reports of people being attacked or killed on the Tube in .. ..I get my information Charry because unlike you I live here and for the last 30 years I have been a television and radio researcher..

but here's an actual fact from the simplest Research on the web..you'd do well to read it..

Do me a favour..don't read my posts.. it doesn't matter what I post.. you have to post the opposite.. If I say the sky is blue you have to say it's Black.. if I say my name you'd have to tell me it's different.. go and annoy someone else.. with your negative energy!! From now you;re on ignore ..again!!

OMG, I could have written that. It is almost word for word what I told a friend recently. I was afraid of nothing and no one. If I felt threatened, I was ready to fight back, and I did.

I take trains and subways whenever in NY/NJ and have never had a scary or threatening incident. Some minor annoyances, yes, like when people come begging through the cars, but I copy the other riders and simply avert my eyes until the offenders move on to the next car. But threatening? No. That said, I keep my wits about me, don't make myself an appealing target by flashing cash or expensive jewelry, and keep to well populated areas wherever I travel.

The article about London subways refers to crime statistics from Nov 2015-Oct 2016 (1,980 reported incidents) versus Nov 2017-Sept 2018 (2,838).

I learned from Hans Rosling's powerful book "Factfulness" that when looking at statistics, context is king. How safe are people in cars, buses, planes, subways and other modes of transportation per mile traveled or per trip, for instance.

In this case, the Guardian article cited states that over 11 million passengers use London Transport per day. Given that context, fewer than 3,000 incidents for the entire year seems quite safe to me.

WoW!! Is this for real ?....

we don't have graffiti inside our trains... not at all.. outside sometimes ..very occasionally.. but inside? Never !!
