National Lemon Cream Pie Day - November 29th

I have eaten this. It is the best lemon pie ever!

What's different is the use of Saltine crackers for the crust. (about one and one half sleeves)
 
I'm more familiar with lemon meringue. Is here a difference between this and lemon cream or just a different name? It's good - no matter what it's called. :)
Big difference, but in all cases- lemon is delicious.

The NC Lemon Cream Pie has a less sweet, tastier and saltier crust. The filling is truly creamy and not Jello-like as the Lemon Meringues I've had. The NC lemon has a real whipped cream topping. Meringue topping is pure sugar beaten with egg whites; then toasted in the oven a bit. Also tasty, but I prefer the lemon cream pie over the lemon meringue.

Finally, after all of these years, I've been apprised of the difference.

My mom always made the lemon meringue but lemon pie hasn't been one of my wife's favorites. Thankfully she makes great pies, just not lemon unless I beg in a convincing manner. 😄
