Alternatives to Lunch-meat Sandwiches

Now and then, we make meatball sandwiches on a long bun, with sauce & mozzarella cheese.
Yup! IKEA meatballs, defrost and heat, cut bun in half and place in foil pan/or on microwavable plate . Put meatballs on bun, cover with marinara sauce, top with mozzarella cheese. Put in oven or microwave till cheese melts. Yummy, yummy, in the tummy.

See I can cook 😂😂😂

Yeah occasionally eat Trader Joe's frozen fish sticks for convenience. Even during my K12 school era, the majority of other kids ate meat sandwiches. This person was mostly PBJ's usually strawberry jam plus some fruit and cafeteria milk. As adult rarely meat lunches, minor for dinners. As adult when I worked for a giant high tech corp in my late 40s, we often had catered delicious meat sandwiches for group lunches while their subsidized in campus lunch cafeterias were mostly meat menu item centered. Over those 6 years I developed hand knuckle arthritis that after leaving has not only not increased but actually improved. At home, my lunch is my main daily meal. Usually nothing for breakfast and snack till 6pm. Progresso non red meat soups, (favorites... mushroom, garden vegetable, wild rice chicken) fish, chicken, Hormel chili turkey with beans rice meals, S&W black beans with cheese, and salad kits.

For as long as I can remember it's been lunch-meat sandwiches for lunch ad nauseam. Had fish stick sandwiches today and will have chicken noodle soup tomorrow and maybe spam the next. Looking for ideas.
I prefer fish sticks on hot toast rather than on a sandwich, you might wanna try that....

what about mashed up boiled egg... add a little butter, a little salt and any flavouring you like.. ( I like it just with butter and salt ).. add some cress if you have it but otherwise don't

Banana sandwiches ?

Smoked fish .. ( I like smoked trout with a thin layer of Mayo or taramasalata )...
