Alternatives to Lunch-meat Sandwiches

Spaghetti is good for lunch. Any kind of stew is good. Depends on what you normally do after you have lunch - what your afternoon is like. If you mostly lounge, then you should have a chef salad for lunch, or fruit salad and some yogurt. If afternoon is when you get busy, then spaghetti and stew (and such) have carbs to burn.

Alternatives to Lunch-meat Sandwiches
I just finished a fish sandwich. The fish was one I caught, leftovers from last night. Grilled.

I know most people don't have their own caught fish, but you can usually buy something like tilapia for a reasonable price. Cost more than most processed lunch meats, but not a lot and sure is better and better for you. Better than fish sticks also.

Leftover chicken with sauteed onion and bell pepper, 90 second rice, sour cream, Mexican cheese, salsa, lettuce and voila! Burrito bowl! It tastes just like what you get at Chipoltes. You could put it in a tortilla for a burrito, but I prefer a burrito bowl.

I don't care for peanut butter, even in chocolate. I like peanuts, though.

Another lunch idea... I buy those big packages of boneless chicken breasts with eight pieces. I cook them all and freeze them in ziplock bags. That way I always have something to eat for lunch. Sliced chicken, chicken salad, burrito bowl...
