My extended family enjoys doing both. In days gone by I very much enjoyed
fishing, mostly lake fishing, but I've never hunted.

I buddy fish, but he is older than me!!!After hunting deer, rabbits, squirrels and turkey when I was younger, I gave it up. I would enjoy the hunt now but don't care to kill anything and gut and skin anymore. Now I just fish put and take. I'm close to the river and a state park lake. What I'm concerned about now is having a medical emergency in the boonies without cell service. When I was young those thoughts never entered my mind.

Similar here. Party boats for salmon, numerous lakes and piers, and eventually our own boat. Some of my best memories of my father date back to those days. Pheasant hunting once, but fortunately just once.I was my father's fishing buddy, from when I was very little. Many hours spent sitting by his side, watching
for a jiggle of the fishing line, and I was in charge of baiting the hook.
Something I will never forget. As a kid I was fishing at a lake in California’s East Bay hills. Line was snagged so I grabbed it and leaned out over the water to get it loose. Just then, an earthquake and I almost fell in. Easily my single most memorable fishing incident. (-8Some lake fishing. Hated all the bugs the one time I went fly fishing.
