How Do You Play Music On a Long Road Trip?

Do you search for local radio stations? Play CDs? Play off of a flash drive? If you want to stream music from your phone, etc., You could play my Road Trip Playlist found on YouTube. These tracks have rich tones and a heavy beat to keep you chugging along so you don't get too sleepy.
Also, you can look for it on Spotify, Apple or wherever you stream your music. Drive safely, please.

I hardly ever listen to the radio...too much of what I don't want to hear and too many commercials. The only radio "station" I got into in the last couple of years was the interactive internet station with audio and video that my son used to deejay on one evening a week, it's owner, a childhood friend who also deejayed did the same and a few other deejays, not all of whom I checked out.

I have Pandora installed but never use it. I've created several playlists in different genres on YouTube Music (formerly Google Play Music) and I'll listen to whatever I'm in the mood for using my earbuds. When I have more time, I'll check out the video you posted.

My pickup is old enough to have both cassette and CD players factory installed. I have loads recordings in both formats and being old school by nature and age I prefer those media to any of the new stuff. I do listen to the radio from time to time although to be completely truthful, I mostly don't listen to anything these days. I just talk to myself.......and have such wonderful conversations.

Up until recently I used to do CDs. I did cassettes up until a few years ago, but rarely. Quit playing 8-track nearly 50 years ago.

Not really my type of music unfortunately.. but I do admire anyone who can compose their own music... good luck to you with it..

@Den Warren just listened to it, and I like it. However I suspect it wouldn't help keep me awake, but good cruising music!

Thanks for the post.
I listen to NPR because talk keeps me awake better than music.
I used to listen to NPR a lot, but it seems to me they have moved away from news to more human interest type stories. I have lost a little interest. Maybe just the stations I listen to.

Don't listen to radio because I can't stand the commercials. I have 2 USB stick with about 860 songs on each one. My car has 2 USB outlets so lots to listen to. Last summer I drove up all the way to Fairbanks and Homer, Alaska and only heard 1 USB stick.

Maybe it's time for another trip in 2023 to listen to the other USB stick. You gotta have plans and you gotta have dreams. No dream, no plans means your "ready to go." Me, I still got a few good miles. Still want to see what's there over the hill.

I have Apple Car Play in my car. I mainly listen to my Spotify playlists or a few podcasts. Occasionally I switch over to Sirius radio for news or talk programs. It seems I have totally embraced streaming music. I can’t recall the last car I had that had a cd player and have not bought a cd in forever.

Nope it's that way on both local and national shows. They have a lot of new, younger sounding, broadcasters and the content has changed a lot over the last few years. I think they are trying to attract younger listeners. Come contribution time I'm tempted to ask them, "How's that working for you?"
