How Often Do Discussions Here Get Hijacked?

This thread about hijacking threads has lost all meaning for me. God, strike me down if I ever hijack another thread <looks around apprehensively>.

Yes...we do! I've always felt that interesting conversations often veer off topic...if only temporarily. When that happens, the choices are steer the thread back to the original topic or go with the flow. Anyone participating in the thread, not just the OP can steer it back...I've seen it done. Hopefully no matter which way the threads go, you'll decide to stay with us. :)

Guilty but you see my mind keeps going through these changes...

As an aside (hijacking! lol), I find it difficult to read comments where the poster has opted to use a Times New Roman type of font instead of the standard Arial font. Not talking about the text color, but the font itself. It's just too difficult to read, especially with long paragraphs. To be honest, I just don't read those comments at all.

There's a reason why forum software (and many, many, many websites) usually default to Arial — it's simply easier to read. Make it hard to read, and I won't read it.

As to highjacking this thread ... who, me? LOL

I also find it hard to read long posts that don't use line breaks or paragraphs.

I do not intentionally go off topic. I usually answer the question and go on. If someone makes a comment that I need to answer and it goes off topic, so it does. That happens all the time in normal conversations in person too. What do you say to the people you are talking to, "Stay on topic! Don't drift to other subjects till this one is done?"
