Who Can You Trust? Not The American Journal of Medicine

I would agree with you - except for the fact that anyone who did question was censored, belittled and sometimes threatened with job loss. That is not science.
Agreed, no relevance at all to whether or not science can be trusted. No way of knowing the circumstances of those unfortunate occurrences but that had to have more to do with policies set by non scientists. Scientists don’t determined conditions of employment.

Running out of medications used to keep intubated patients sedated and paralyzed.
What happens when people - especially already sick elderly people - are tied down, intubulated (choked) against their will, and starved to death with antibiotics is that they're quite likely going to die. Not because of a virus, but because they were murdered.

Those who promote this sort of disinformation are the typhoid Mary’s of the current age.
Typhoid Mary never tested positive for typhoid and was therefore imprisoned against her will for her entire life simply to promote the fear campaign against typhoid. That's not science. Promoting misinformation and censorship through the CDC and their corporate owned media is not science either. People are mistakenly confusing an advertising and censorship campaign for scientific fact, which it isn't.

A similar thing is happening now, no accurate test to show that anyone has a virus, yet many people believe there was an accurate test to prove that one existed in the first place. If so, why isn't that test working now? In fact, cells were starved by antibiotics to try and prove that a virus existed, but all they proved was that they were able to kill the cells with antibiotics.

If there's really a deadly virus that's been going around the world with lightening speed the last three years, when why aren't all of us who didn't get the poisonous clot shots already dead by now? There have been and continue to be so many lies coming out from the corporate media, why would anyone believe anything that they say, much less why would you bet your lives that they're telling the truth.

Yeah. And they vote. That's why we are where we are.
Yes, Indiana Joe, they vote. I believe the trouble these days is that way too many elections are run like some popularity contest. People vote for someone because he/she is exciting. or handsome or a great speaker of total bull or hot air.

They should be voting for issues or promises that the speaker makes. Then they should force the candidate to follow through on his/her promises or "kick them out."

I remember in Canada when Pierre Trudeau was elected on the promise of making Canada a "Great Society." Donald Trump got elected on the promise of making "America Great." These are all vague or "wishy-washy" sort of promises but they sure fooled the people. Everyone wants to live in a Great Society but just what does this mean. They never said how they are going to make it a great society by stating what changes are they going to do. Maybe I wasn't listening too close?

By the way, our present leader promised us "Sunny Ways." I hope you know what sunny ways are because I sure don't?

So many conspiracies. So little time. I’ll pass.

This is why I hate studies and statistics. People need to stop giving them access to all of your information. They gather all this data to formulate these kinds of statistics. It may seem harmless now, but in the future they will use that info to determine who lives where and who can do what, a method of controlling people based on what they think people will do based on all of this info like online activity, where you shop and things like that. I'm in favor of vaccines, I'm vaccinated, but this kind of statistical stuff is crazy.

This whole thing reminds me of a TV show I saw where the people were letting a huge computer rule them. They abolished presidency and politics and the computer was what determined laws and rules etc based on statistical information fed into it. There was no president, the computer was the permanent president. They said trust the science like someone would say "praise God", they worshiped the computer, it became like a religion to them. And the world was split into those who worshiped the computer and trusted the science and those who wanted to destroy the computer. Those who wanted to destroy the computer were the "bad" guys, the so called lunatics and conspiracy theorists. Reality is heading down that road right now. People will trust statistics and data gathered by a computer watching and collecting the activity of all of humanity more than they trust themselves.

It's just data, and a brief analysis of that data. Not sure why folks get their panties in a knot about the numbers. It says nothing about you or me as an individual. Did you see any ads that made any of the references that you claim? I sure didn't. Jeebus.....
Until they start using that data to determine how you should be allowed to live your life.
Science never said everyone would get covid. In fact the science is clear some never even get it. Science never said everyone who got covid would be deathly ill, in fact the science shows most who get covid will have subclinical or mild symptoms. Science shows that vaccinated folks have a lower incidence of severe disease….what they have said all along. But as a person who had assets but no insurance at the beginning of the pandemic my thought process was more risk management. Would I be willing to give up a house or two to pay for a possible severe illness? Should I hedge my bets and vaccinate? I choose to vaccinate. We all made and continue to make these choices. But make make no mistake….when you know people who died you think a bit different. I had known that staff member since she was in high school.
That's why I got vaccinated. I would rather try something that might work or might not work than to just do nothing and roll the dice and hope I turn out okay. I didn't want me or my family to suffer or die needlessly. If I get the vaccine, at least I know I did all I could to protect us. (y) I've never had COVID, knock on wood. And I've been around COVID positive people, including a coworker who died from it a week after I was hanging out with her with no mask on! 😱 I had no symptoms and tests were negative.
Well, if you don't trust the scientific method, what's left? We've devised the scientific method to eliminate as much bias as possible. If you don't rely on a proven system of scientific fact, the only other choice is trusting some turkey down the road, who may be in need of medication.
LOL! we could go back to using common sense. 😀 I don't trust all science all the time, but when it comes to life and death, I didn't want to take a chance, so I got vaccinated.

Bonjour à tous, interesting topic..

Medicine, like any science, relies on a logical process " occams razor" to determine reality, cause, effect and action. GIGO, garbage in Garbage out....the data collected and statistical analysis can be biased, wrong or manulated. A double blind experiment is the gold standard but often impossible or unethical.

Both sciences and medicine are not fixed in stone, forever but evolving, changing over time.

Think of the medical beliefs and practices in 1600s, 1700s, 1800s, and how many changes and discoveries have prooved the "science" of the time wrong.

Unfortunately nowadays politics and economics greatly influence the practice of medicine, and scientific studies. Look out for the hidden Adgenda. Any paper, link, or study, look at the funding, impact factor, conflicting info from other sources.

A few old quotes. perhaps amusing, perhaps relivant ???

"That's how conspiracy works, Gunny, just when YOU think you got it all figured out....YOUR WRONG!" (taps his forehead) (Levon Helm as Mr Rate in the action film Shooter)

"Trust but verify"....Ronald Reagan

"Everything you know is wrong".. Firesign Theatre

Enjoy the Holidays!

Bon Fête de Noël et Heureuse Hiver

We should be able to trust the medical profession but, sad to say, we can't. I have just been reading the truth about the Covid vaccines and it confirmed what someone has already stated on this site....it was all an experiment and the general public were used as guinea pigs; plus it cannot be classed as a vaccine but is actually 'gene therapy' (not sure what that is).
The drug companies want to make as much money as possible, so encourage doctors to prescribe their products even when not appropriate. No doubt health workers all have shares in the companies so it is in their interest too.
Plus, we are constantly being given advice about life-style, which turns out not to be correct.
We have to be more sceptical about the treatment we are offered and take more responsibility for ourselves. Next time I have a problem I shall consult my local chemist first.
