I watched a driverless car yesterday

In an empty car park. Two men were outside the car and seemed to be using a remote control.
The car went forward 40 metres, done a u turn, went 40 metres, then reverse parked.

It's becoming more and more the norm.

What we need are sentient, artificially-intelligent driverless cars like KITT from Knight Rider, or Benny the Cab from Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

In March the London Underground train line known as The Victoria Line, will be 54 years old. The Victoria line has never had a train driver for the whole of it's life.
My own carriage doesn't have any horses, imagine that!

We want a car that drives itself and never has an accident. But. come on, there are millions of humans crashing cars all over the place, every minute. We humans aren't exactly accident free.

I'm so torn. On on hand, I'm hoping it will be smarter than people an avoid accidents. On the other....well...

Here's something I don't understand:

This summer, the landscapers were taking down a big old pine tree. They had this vehicle, don't know what it's called. A man was maneuvering this vehicle by standing outside of it and using a remote control.

What's the point/ Or what's the difference.... if he directed it while standing outside with a remote, or sitting inside of it with a steering wheel and brakes?

Construction vehicles have an enormous vibration to them and the driver suffers kidney damage over time as a driver of these.
