May be an image of animal and text that says 'If a guide dog judges that a command is unsafe, it will refuse the command. This is called intelligent disobedience. Now if we could just get the dogs to teach humans this skill...'

I guess that is why mine refuse to get in the tub!! I have to drag them in.

Every dog is special, there are some things they don't like but I agree I think many of them are so smart they know if danger is there. Like my big dog, he would never hurt anyone on purpose but he would react if someone was hurting me.

^^^^ Reminded me of a joke my girlfriend & I played on my Black Lab. I told her to pretend to hit me just to see how my dog would react.
We will never play that joke on him again. He immediately barked & jumped on her. He didn't hurt her or bite, but he scared the hell out of her.

Yep, I have never played that game. Don't want to take the chance with a 90# chow. He is a big sweetheart but he does come beside me when I have to answer the door. I just hold onto his harness, he just sits and looks, never a bark, never a growl, that is all it takes, the person who at the door is ready to leave. Little do they know, I have two ankle biters in there that will take them on. LOL
