Brings back memories, not all of them good.
School days, distant memories.
We never had caps to wear. Not a requirement in my public school.
There were no meals provided at school. Everyone took their own lunch. Always sandwiches.

does public school in Australia mean the same as it does here ?..Public here means Fee-paying .. and is usually called Private school in other countries

ha ! I haven't got further than the first minute , furry.. and the Assembly hall and the science class looks just like my school...

Public school is free education for everyone.
Private school is expensive.

The term 'public' seems to originate in the 18th century when the reputation of some grammar schools started to attract pupils from outwith the local area, and whose parents could afford the associated boarding fees. Hence they were open to the 'public' rather than just pupils living in the local area. Often referred to as 'independent' schools.
