Apparently I did not know.
Went to work today, clocked on. No one else turned up.
We share the site with another company and so the workshop was open.
Not due back until tomorrow.
Sitting at McDonalds now having a coffee.

No rest here worked 7 days/wk since 1 Dec....too busy.

Most EU countries restart later this week 5, 6 Jan.

Yes, I always remembered that if it's a sat/sun holiday moment, day following is off also.

That is what I thought as well. Go back on Tuesday. Back this year it is go back on Wednesday - tomorrow.

Wow, didn't they inform you of this? Stores are open etc but I think doctors offices and the government is off of course here.

No one told me but when I looked at my work homepage, it was noted all employees were due back on Wednesday

It is extremely unpleasant and very time consuming. No way of avoiding it thus far.
