Friday 13th Black Friday..

Anyone superstitious about it ? Anyone staying home today because it's Friday 13th ? Got any funny or interesting stories ..?

I'm not overly superstitious but I'm going to do my best to avoid black cats (there's two that roam the neighborhood) and I'm darn sure not gonna walk under any ladders today. :)

Glad to see a post on Friday the 13th! Watch out for Jason Vorhees! And what could be more appropriate than a brief serenade by Here Come the Mummies playing Do You Believe (In Things You Cannot See?)

 
Today is my granddaughter's 20th birthday! We (her parents and I) can't believe it !! How time flies. They will be heading down to Atlantic City to see her today...she has no classes and is off from work. My son is also supposed to video himself and her mom (my Honorary Daughter), who had brief speaking parts in one of my latest releases. I will send it to my good friend who will produce a You Tube video for one of my songs. Currently YT video is not live action, just shows a photo I chose for the video and it was uploaded by CD Baby. So hopefully it won't be a Black Friday for them but a great day. I've never been suspicious about Friday the 13th but may about the number 13 itself...I won't spray my mouth wash 13 times...it has to be 12 or 14. Don't ask my why HD! :LOL:

Mornin' Kate.. me too.. not because it's raining, in fact for the first time this week it's very sunny, and I really want to go out, but my back isn't better enough for me to drive yet.. so I've got the chores done instead.. :D

My daughter was born on the 13th so I always look on it as a Lucky day...:giggle:

If your back isn't better..shouldn't you be resting HD? I'm sorry it's still bothering you. I think I edited my original reply after you "liked" it.

It seizes up if I don't move around Diva.. so it becomes so much worse... so wherever possible I do whatever I can without going overboard of course. Well I wouldn't be able to go overboard , because it wouldn't let me.. but where I can do things I do them.. Like today, I've done the laundry... Vac'd the floors.. cleaned the toilet and bathroom... and cleaned down the Stove and counters.. none of which took any bending.. (y)

How do you do laundry without bending? Are your machines on platforms and/or top loaders? I sure hope your back improves soon HD. 🤗

MY washing machine and tumble dryer are front loaders.. easy to put the washing in if I bend at the knees keeping my back straight..

Oh okay...smart move, literally. And you're welcome, of course. Also know that I pray that my family and friends who are experiencing pain, will have relief.
 
While I don't consider myself superstitious, whenever I see a black cat, or on a Friday 13th, my mind can't help being pulled toward the superstition.

Then again, before I go to bed for the night, I make sure I go through the same exact routine before retiring or it will affect my sleep. Maybe I'm more superstitious than I realize.

Yes... I see we're from the same state, @Chet ... and there's an awful lot of superstition floating around from the German background and culture here... at least in my area. I don't pay attention to it "on the surface" but I'm still not going to toss a hat on the bed, ya know? 🤫
