Do You Give Likes on YouTube Videos You Watch to Help Out Channel Owners?

Hi all, there's something I'm curious about... When you watch videos on YouTube, do you give likes to the channel owners to help them out?

Personally, I do give likes to my favourite channels. However, I noticed that I get a few good views but not the likes to match. I make my videos short and sweet, straightforward and to the point but still don't understand why I can't grow my channel much.

I've two book trailers currently and wish the likes and views would increase and maybe interest would gather up and I would get into the recommended book channels, correct?

Any suggestions would be appreciated? Thanks! Let me know below...
 
No and don't comment either or youtube will load them with ads. Think of #1 first. :giggle: I guess if you want likes you could ask for them and subscriptions too. That could help.

I never get ads on youtube.. I promise you if I did I wouldn't watch YT at all ..

I know Video content makes get a few pennies for everyone who watches an Advert, but I prefer to just have a good Ad Blocker, and watch the videos without ads..

I know from email I receive, that ads are only added to channels who are partners with YouTube to get money. I'm not on that program, I'm just a content creator without remuneration. Sorry and thanks!
 
I used to watch and even subscribe to three channels. I usually do a "Like" but one channel was started with low stake gamblers in mind. But his own work has grown such, he's now playing $5-$500 bets. I'm just not thrilled with such.

He used to be $1-$5 but those days are gone, so I've left him and focus only on two others, seal rescue in nambia and a political cartoonist.

I remember when youtube was totally ad free and then they stuck ads in everything and wanted to charge me $14.95 a month to go back to the way they were. What a scam. Those people are shameless. 😖

Hi, thanks, I do ask on my videos and descriptions to like, share and subscribe but as mentioned not many people do it. Also, YouTube don't promote or recommend videos unless they receive a minimum of 1000 likes and over a hundred subscribers, plus views and more.

Currently have about 50+ views on one video and over 40+ on second ine, 36 subscribers and less than 10 likes. Short book trailers without ads, under 3 mins.

I do every day. I usually watch certain videos every day and normally give them likes and make comments. I subscribe to many and as my interest change I might unsubscribe and subscribe to different ones. Presently I think I follow about 66 right now. I spend a lot of time there and don't seem to get a lot of ads unless I am watching it on my television which uses Amazon's Firestick so the ads are coming from Amazon not Youtube.

I'll give you a like. It helps to do what you are doing which is telling friends about your youtube channel so they can give you likes.
 
Often I will like most videos of favorite contributors. But, that being said, if I do not care much for the video, then no. There are a few contributors I will like them all, they are so good and I want to support them. A couple I like foten are BilliSpeaks and Vids from Catmanjohn, who owns Russell the cat. Both these cats talk using Buttons...that they step on to say words. Interesting and facinating about how smart these cats are
