Afghan asylum seeker guilty of killing a 21-year-old

Trish..I mentioned this yesterday on a thread on here... it's just an appalling factor that we as a country seem to be incapable of checking immigrants backgrounds as they enter this country... This isn't the first case of it's kind, it seem that there's literally hundreds of immigrants posing as children, which means they get to bypass all checks, and then placed with a 'foster' family..

How no-one can see they're not children is beyond me... but anyway.. we're also having a high rate of murders, and assaults committed by these immigrants too.. not just the young ones.. but these recent immigrants in general.. Not to paint a dreadful picture of all of them of course, but a large proportion are committing crime of varying types.. and particularly attacks on innocent people.. ..

Really can't speak too much more about this, because it'll lead me down the Political route..

What it is, the foreigner has to be regarded with trust and respect, of course. Our ancestors rode roughshod over twenty-five percent of the world's land surface, including large swathes of North America, Australia, Africa and Asia, while other areas that they didn't actually rule, like South America, they locked into the empire by trade.

The legacy of that is that we are tainted with our ancestors ideology. In order to so call "cleanse" our sins, foreigners seeking sanctuary in our country are always given, the benefit of the doubt. Whilst this attitude persists we will always give a green light to this sort of atrocity.

I never understood why these people, which number in the 10’s of thousands don’t stay in their own country and do the same as our ancestors did, fight like hell to make your country be the country they want it to be. Nothing will ever change, if you decide your only choice for change is to runaway.

When our ancestors came here to America and were under British rule, it’s not what they intended it to be. After developing the original 13 colonies, the colonists decided they wanted their freedoms. They didn’t run to another country. Instead, they fought for their freedoms.

(I know there was a whole lot more to it than what I wrote, but I shortened it to save space and reading time.)

@horseless carriage I understand that, but with that trust should come some responsibility for their actions.
Don't get me wrong I am not against real refugees escaping atrocities, but I believe if they come in without paperwork they should be detained for at least a year before allowing them into society, that way they can learn the language, the customs, and even a trade of some sort.

Blame it on the liberal, "goody, goody, two shoes" government agents. I predicate that our troubles have only started. Give it 10 years and you wouldn't even recognize what used to be Canada or the USA. Maybe you'll recognize the Grand Canyon and Niagara Falls but that's about all.

We are all going to live with bars on our doors and windows the way they do in South Africa, Cuba and Mexico. You'll even be afraid to send your dog out to "do his business."

Gated communities wouldn't help as they will just climb over the fence or under it just like they do with Trump's border with Mexico. Sweet dreams, NOT!
