Keep getting an annoying pop-up on Facebook

I have it too. It started this afternoon and regardless of what I click on, it pops up again. I have decided if this doesn't stop, I'm through with Facebook! Also, I did a search online for this and there are a lot of other people that is getting it today too. They haven't been able to make it stop either.

I left this forum and went back to Facebook and I didn't get not even one popup this time. I was clicking on the very same links that I did when it was popping up. That time I couldn't do anything without a popup but this time, it didn't do it! This makes me hopeful they have fixed the problem.

I clicked on it's links thinking if I played their little game and acted like I wanted to know more, it might go away.
As of my latest visit, it isn't coming up anymore. Not sure if clicking "learn about..." was helpful in making it go away.

The great thing about Facebook is that all of their "addons" are never anything you always wished for. Like the short videos for instance. Oh, and the ads...

For me: No Facebook, no pop-ups and therefore, NO PROBLEM!

My understanding is that Facebook is where all the con artists are spending their time collecting all sorts of information. Apparently, Facebook is also the place where folks have 1 million "friends." Wow! One million friends. Hope they don't all come over to your place at the same time. LOL

I figure it's nice to have a real friend to listen to you tell your troubles. A real friend will be your friend even when you are down and out. Seems to me that folks having a million friends is kind of strange. How do you even start remembering their names, their birthdays, the names of their spouses and kids? Tough question here with no real answer!

Being an Old Feller, I look at the people I have as friends on Facebook as a tapestry of my life. There are people I'm friends with from every chapter of my life from elementary school to latest coworkers. It's a reminder that you mattered enough in this world to have amassed a group of friends and it accentuates your importance. For those with the capacity for an even greater quantity of friendships, their list of friends is staggering.

Like a coworker once observed these are the people who sing your praises and when they are gone, a piece of you will go with them.

That's what I did yesterday, too... just did the "learn more" and I didn't have it after that, or today so I think that's all I needed to do... at least I hope so!

Not I! The most friends I was ever connected to on FB was about 80 and I knew/know each and every one of them. As the years went by, I started chopping it down. Like "no matter if that's my second cousin... hasn't said a word to me in two years, out ya go!" And sometimes it was "why do I have this person on my friends list? We just went to school together for 12 years, but never really talked... out ya go!" :giggle: I'm down to about 30 people now and most are family. Three old friends, and one former colleague. I like it that way.
