Games you can play online

I'd like to start a thread here of games you can play online.
Traditional games like chess, checkers, solitaire etc.. Not the video games our kids and grand kids play. If you can leave a link or some way for others to find the site that would be great.
I'd like these to be games you play yourself and not ones you've just heard about. Thanks for your reply.

Not sure if this is the kind of thing you mean. I enjoyed it for quite a while.

Quizzland (on Google Play). A seemingly endless supply of multiple-choice questions. After answering, you can read some interesting info about the correct answer, plus user comments.

I wasn't interested in the points and other gimmicks. There are various options (such as competing with other players) that I never tried.

I stopped playing because they started piling on the ads after about 200 games. Paid versions are available.

Jigsaw puzzles: shockwave.com - daily one - can only play this one and if you miss it you cannot go back.
Jigzone: daily puzzles and you can go back to play other dates
Mahjong - you can search for one you like
Wordle - I do daily on my iphone.

I play Wordle everyday and the related Quordle most days. There are practice sites but there is only one official game of each available each day. Wordle comes with 'bot' feature that will analyze your result after you play. It started out as a British game but the developer sold out to the New York Times. It is free to play.

Just be very careful with Online Games especially if you have to download them. I used to play Bigfish & Pogo games all the time, and my husband used to swear like a navvy every few months when he had to go deep in the bowels of my Computer to clear out the bugs they leave behind
I agree with this 100% which is why I asked people for games they play themselves. Don't download anything you're not sure of.

My nephew was the first to own the Atari home system. That boring tennis game now, but it was cool back then. Once I got married, loads of technology came out.

We got a Commodore64. PacMan and QBert were the number ones back in the day. Briefly on FB I did the virtual farming games but after the hacks we all left and never looked back.

In the 70s, I was into Arts&Crafts clubs, macrame, embroidery and all. Thankfully, with the advent of Android, no more needle pains, virtual cross-stitch tapestries are fun with an average of 2 hours used as filler between production on other virtual games of the farming kind, of course.

Farland (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quartsoft.farland)

Bermuda Adventures (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samfinaco.paradise)

Family Island (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.MelsoftGames.FamilyIslandFarm)

Colour By Letter (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cross.stitch.color.by.number)

These have changed over the years, but once the work is done, it's time to play.

I play wordle on the NYT and Facebook. They are different words.
Uno, Hearts, Spades, Dominoes, Solitaire, Cribbage and Bridge on my browser from various sites including Facebook.
I'll play any type of IQ or trivia game when I can find them.
