Hey, how's it going today for you? It's 2023. An alternate thread for different people.

Another very cold day today. There was such a chill inside here I turned the heat up more. It's cozy in here now. Doing more laundry the story of my life 🤣. Doctor still has not called. He must be very busy.

Suzy got groomed yesterday and tomorrow she goes for her ears to be cleaned. I would do it but she refuses to let me finish once I start. She hates that.

Still got my Christmas 🎄 tree up. I love watching the light show 🤩!
 

Tis a sad day. These are my neighbors in the safe park. The tall guy (beside Nissan) is husband, he just finished loading two Harleys into the truck. They then have to go unload their storage unit.

The shorter person is his wife, the bearded man was helping. When they leave, there goes chicken Alfredo, double cheeseburgers, meatloaf, Mac & cheese and many other dishes. She is a good cook

But California calls and they already have a spot waiting on 56 acres or so, horses too. Sigh, now I got to make my own grub......

Awww...why don't you treat yourself to going out to a nice restaurant?
 

Has this week's Arctic deep freeze already reached some of you, in your locations?
It's due to arrive here by tomorrow morning (Friday)
and I sure hope the heat will stay on, and do enough of a job. And the warm water, and the ability to warm foods and to warm my heat pads, that I use for pain relief (Or for distraction from pain or cold) ...
 
@Kaila I believe that type of weather is coming to my area of NE OH tomorrow too. I'll be cranking my heat up some. I have to do that when it gets colder outside. I'm on the first floor and there's no heat in the lobby below. The floor here is carpeted but still gets ice cold. I'm looking forward to warmer weather.

I was at Taco Bell the other day. I like their food and the prices. Oh such sweet doggies! Are they ShihTzus? I can't see them that well, I need new glasses 🤓I fall in love with with doggies too. They're so great!
 
Dear Diary (lol) Today I took my dog to the Vet and did not have a good experience. I encountered a Vet Tech who I feel talked down to me and thought she had more experience with my dog than I have. It was the first time she'd seen my dog.

The last time I was at the Vet the Vet Tech was different and very nice and understanding of our predicament. Everything went fine that time.

I almost got in an argument with this new tech today. I did end up raising my voice to her and she backed off. I don't know if I want to go back there. There is another place I have gone and it's a little more expensive but they act more congenital and professional.

I have enough to deal with besides I'll mannered people!
 
I'm sorry you had that crummy, negative experience, @Ruthanne
especially when you were doing a good, positive thing, by taking your dog there.

When I have these types of experiences, (surprisingly commonly, it seems :()
I find it very discouraging, and I wonder why some people and places, do not realize it is not necessary and NOT okay, to add stresses to other people, instead of being supportive and respectful.

Gosh, that Vet Tech surely does not know you or your dog, better than you yourself do!
How frustrating and disappointing. I too would not want to return there.
Unless there is something else important, or someone else there, that is excellent.
