went shopping today,,,why cant i find sweatshirts and polo shirts without writing on them,,little symbles on on right side,a logo or what ever on the back or front,,i just wanted a plain sweatshirt with nothing on it grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
so had a lunch out instead and a couple of beers,,,,,that told them lol

I have found the same with local clothing places that are just carrying uglier and uglier things every season. I've found some really nice things on Amazon. It takes some digging to find the better quality things, but they're there. Just like everywhere else, they have junk, too... but I've been happy with what I've found after digging around. Hope you find your plain shirts! @jet

Same problem here... and most of those things are for a younger group than us.

Excellent solution!!

I do most of my clothing shopping at thrift stores now. I've pretty much given up on the retail stores I used to depend on, especially Ross. I used to buy practically everything I wore in Ross but now their selection (at least in my size, which I'll admit doesn't fall in the "small" sizes) is pitiful. We have several Ross stores in the area and I've visited all of them.

I agree with everyone above about the brand names splashed all over the clothing. If they want me to promote their company, they can darn well give 'em to me for free! I'm not being paid to be a walking billboard.

It's a good thing I live a simple life and don't need anything "fashionable".

When I worked in retail in the 90s, every Christmas season an refined older gentleman would come in and ask me to help him pick clothes for his grandchildren.
He was adamant about no logos, cartoons, sayings, etc.. He wanted plain good quality things. It was always a chore trying to fit the bill. A chore I always enjoyed.

Usually anything with a logo costs more. Shouldn't you get a discount buying them since you are giving them free advertisement when you wear them?
it's actually the other way around here. The more Logos, or signatures, or slogans on an item the less you pay! The discount clothing stores have hundreds of jogging pants, T-shirts, Hoodlies , Vests, et al.. all with soemthing scrawled on them ..like this for example..

Buy your stuff at LL Bean. They never have logos on their clothes and they do have a large selection of sweatshirts at this time of year.

I love LL Bean. All of my winter coats/vests are from Bean. They are long wearing & very warm. I've had several pairs of their boots & shoes which have been great too.

My first Bean jacket lasted 20+ years & I finally tossed it after the slider that holds the zipper pull finally wore through.

For outside work wear, I have Carhartt's jackets & bibs. My first Carhartt jacket "shrunk" on the hanger, so I gave it to my kid.
