What have you bought recently?

@hollydolly Have you tried on your new onesie yet? I can see why you hesitated on buying it. As odd as I might look with my nightie and socks, there’s no way I could wear that onesie.
It's not for bed Jules.. it's for wearing in the house. Some people wear them all day..honestly.. They're extremely popular here !

I've always baulked at these things, I think they're ugly, but in all seriousness, our energy bills have gone through the roof, we have ice on the ground and can't afford to put the heating on more than an hour a day.. and these fur onesies are very warm to wear around the house in the evening to save the cost of the heating, so I gave in finally to my Daughter insistence on me to get one ... but they are NOT for sleeping in..

I just don’t want to be seen in one, day or night. Period. It really doesn’t seem like your style either. It’s a heck of a situation when the basics needed to keep a home warm aren’t affordable.

I do admit to wearing some pretty weird clothes at times. My outdoor hat is really ugly!
well fortunately no-one will see me in it, so I console myself with that... :D

When I'm uncomfortably warm or cold, fashion slides way down the pecking order of what's important. If that outfit keeps you toasty without having to bump up your heater, @hollydolly, you'll be glad to have it.

Our natural gas bills doubled this year. Fortunately, we're not in a cold weather area, but many nights temps drop into the 40s so we wear lightweight flannel pjs to bed and turn on the heat.

anyway they're very popualr here, I'm just extremely late to the table getting one because I've never liked them, so if anyone does come unexpectedly, it's something they're used to seeing on other people anyway.
Oh, I surely did not know they are popular, there!
I thought it was solely that your daughter'd been selling it to you!:giggle::geek:😄
Though I wouldn't know, if they might be popular here as well.🙃😁☺️

Just between us, I bought a waist length, blush coloured cardigan the other day - sale price of course! I am wearing it today with jeans and the chap said how nice it looked so I did that thing where you roll your eyes and say "This old thing? I've had it for years!" ;)

No, they're very popular here, have been for several years now. I've always sneered at the idea of them, but my Daughter since arriving back in the Uk to colder temperatures, needed something to keep her warm without having to turn the heating on when she's at home in the evenings.. I laughed at it lol.. but now our energy prices are sky high, I need to have something to keep me warm in the evenings to stop me turning the unaffordable heating on.. ...anyway I might hate it, I've yet to pick up from the shop..it's on order..

Has anyone seen these before ?.. I've seen every other type, all kinds of nuts , or oats or bran etc.. but this is the first time I saw this Potato Milk..

That was thoughtful of her. I was bought one a couple of years ago and as much as I thought it was something I would never wear, it was actually very cosy in the evenings. I got a fleezy, teddy bear like jacket at Christmas and that has a hood with little ears but, it's great in the evenings with fleezy joggers. (y)

She didn't buy it for me Trish.. she just suggested I buy myself one because it's really warm she said... so I'll give it a try, can't lose really.. and like your jacket this is also made of teddy material..

On my way home today, I popped into Tesco to get some fruit and they had reduced the price of their boxes of fresh fruit which they usually sell to the lunchtime crowd. I got a box of melon slices, a box of pineapple and mango slices and a box of grapes £1 each and the ticket prices were £3 each. :)

Nope, nope. Why would a grown up want to look like a toddler in one of these? Grown ups have sweat pants, sweat shirts, joggers, dusters, cardigans, fleece lined clothes. No onesie.....it reminds me of Ralphie wearing the pink rabbit onesie in A Christmas Story. He was embarrassed and he was just a kid.
