Where did you first lay eyes on your spouse?

We were both fifteen, started our sophomore year of high school. I had seen his older brother at a party ,found out he had a brother my age, whom I tracked down. Away, we went, engaged at 18, married at 20. Widowed at 51

My 1st wife, in high school, my senior year. I was on the school's baseball team, she was a cheerleader.

I met my current wife at my apartment's mailboxes. I was getting my mail when she casually walked over from the gazebo to swat my behind.
Nice introduction :)

At a restaurant in Thousand Oaks. We both were active in a grief recovery site, and one day she asked me where I lived, as we had people from all over.
It turned out we lived 40 miles apart and agreed to meet for lunch half way. After lunch, I walked her to her car and said,"I would like to see you again".
We just celebrated our 15th anniversary.

We met while we were in jail....as employees. In the officer's dining room, at the salad bar...I smiled and said "hi", started to make small talk. She mentioned her boyfriend o_O ...OK, so that was the end of that flirt. Some time later when we crossed paths she had evidently ditched the boyfriend, and was more receptive. ;)

Told this before. Can‘t remember when I first laid eyes on my wife, but I do remember when I first spoke to her. We both worked in the headquarters of a large bank. I had a small unit that received and delivered securities for customers of the bank, and she was in a unit about 20 floors up that served some of our customers. She called my unit with instructions to receive and pay for a purchase by a very large customer. I answered the phone and asked the usual questions — one of which she couldn’t answer. I replied, well when you know call me back, and hung up on her. Two years later I married her.

Well, This was my late husband. Really miss him!
Do you want my version or his?

Mine: Pouring down rain (131 inches a year, Sitka) and I had to get on the bus
to the barge. A deep man's voice behind me said, "Just walk out into the
storm like you own it!" I turned around and he said, "I know you. You
wrote an article in Alaska magazine!' That was it! He followed me home to Calif!

His: (He told everyone this for YEARS! "Walked into a waterfront bar in Sitka
and she was dancing on the bar! A couple guys were grabbing at her
and she chucked one of them on the head. I threw her over my shoulder
and took her home!"

I'll leave it up to you to believe me or your lyin eyes!

At a "boys night out" in a jazz/blues club. I talked my ex-fiance (cheater) to take me along.
"He" was there with a couple of other guys/mutual friends of mine.
I knew straight off that "he" was my future husband.

I was dating one of her friends who said she was starting to have "feelings" for me - but didn't want to. So one afternoon the friend guided me to wifeys apartment and introduced us. It all seemed so innocent at the time. After that the friend started to slowly fade away. Meanwhile I started hanging out with wifey. The rest is history.

I didn't know any of this until a few years later when the friend told me. Women are sinister! 🤣

I'd seen her at a softball Tournament we played at while stationed at a radar site in rural Nebraska.
Later that weekend, she attended a party at a house in the country and they were enjoying some not so 'legal smoke'
inside, so being in the service, I slide out to the backyard where the keg was.

She came out and sat with me on the picnic table so I wouldn't be alone.
Talked the rest of the night about traveling and the places we'd lived.

Knew from the start I would do whatever it took to be with this lady.

35 years later, still feel the same way.
