A couple of days ago a commercial was on tv for a cruise line and in the background a song was playing that I liked the sound of the chorus and it's been stuck in my head ever since.

To me it sounded like the singer was saying, come-a, come-a, come-a, something, yada, yada, yada.......it was driving me nutz.

Somehow stumbled across what I was looking for after pecking in, come-a, come-a, come-a.......still got the worm in my head but at least now I've got the words right. :)

Karma Chameleon... The years of the hip-bumps dance craze. Yeap, we all did them, didn't we? 🤣🤣🤣

Nowadays, I use my ballet-jazz moves to deal with my sore hips and back. A back leg slide, lol, gets me to lower levels to get to stuff in the lower cupboards. The occupational therapist was impressed. I'm glad I'm still doing T'ai Chi and the easier Yoga poses. I'm limber yup, but still in constant pain. Oh well... Cause two out three ain't bad...

LOL.. I suppose his accent might make people think it's something other than Karma .. even tho' it's the tile of the song.. :ROFLMAO:
Problem is that you do not see the title written out while listening on the radio which is the way I heard it for years. Guess that makes it easy to misunderstand a lot of lyrics. Interesting to think about.

Ike, I saw that commercial too. Was it during Superbowl?
Pepper I didn't watch the Super Bowl so I'm not sure if it was or not but I did see it again last night while watch watching the local and world news.......just glad I got it figured out it was driving me up the wall. :)

I remember when my daughter and her best friend attended a Culture Club/Boy George concert. I had bought them white jackets from a thrift shop and painted question marks all over the jackets (apparently that was "the thing"). They had on hats like Boy George wore and heaven only knows what else (that era is all blurred in my mind).

When we picked them up at the arena, they were in hysterics. Boy George had reached down from the stage and squeezed her friend's hand. Her friend said she'd never wash the hand again (I was certain she was going to propose cutting it off and framing it...or something....) They were sweaty and exhausted and hoarse from screaming. And hungry. Always hungry.

I like the melody. The tune will usually attract my attention more than the lyrics.
Same here... and I've been reminded of it many times by my daughter over the years. I'd mention a song, she'd want to hear it, so we listened together. Often she's said "that's rather risque for the 70s" and I'd have to admit I never knew what they were saying or what the meaning was "back then"... I just liked the song. :giggle:
