oh yes.. we can get them easily enough especially in areas where there's a high concentration of Asians...
 

Of course, we in the UK also had our "Dark Satanic mills". In some areas spinning cotton was the chief occupation with young children employed and often injured or killed, to scramble under working machinery to collect the cotton waste. With all the noise and dust, the adult workers often became deaf or succumbed to lung diseases.

We at least have 'cleaned up our act' and these days are long gone, though my late M-i-L was a linen weaver and still suffered some hearing loss.
