Nicola Bulley

The case of Nicola Bulley was eagerly discussed in a German forum also. At 1450 comments the thread was closed by a moderator to prevent rampant speculation. But we have a similar case here. A 39 year old women, pregnant at 8 months, living near Nuremberg, disappeared without any lead in December 2022. The police even searched 15 kilometres of the nearby Main-Danube-Canal without success. Meanwhile there a such wild speculations in public that the police got angry.

Intriguing and disappointing is the behaviour of people over these cases. Why on earth don't they leave it to the professionals to solve?
I have found it an excellent thing to mind my own business while staying reasonably informed!

If she did wish to escape from her life and is hiding somewhere, she may never want to be found considering the huge amount of attention. She would be very frightened. I wonder at why so many people are going to the area and acting like amateur detectives. It is disturbing.

180,000 people go missing each year in the UK. Each one no doubt has a sad or tragic story. Why has this case attracted so much attention?
yes I've thought that myself now... ..and yes also I wondered why this one case has attracted so much attention too... it's all very odd.!

It's the opposite way around here about this case. The public are Angry and even the government have ticked the police off and are demanding explanations, due to the inept way they've handled this case ..however it still odd that a one missing person among 70 million.. can create such a huge interest !

Exactly. What is so special about this one?

The reason for the phone being left behind is due to the cops being able to "Ping" the phone. This gives location. So abduction sounds way more plausible.

I'm astounded how uncivil the "Armchair dectectives" are. In USA, you DON'T go peeking into houses and such, the owner can come out to deliver a personal message. Good way to have a reason to visit the ER.

so that's my take

yes the strange thing is the dog. The first supposition was that she'd gone into the water to rescue the dog, but the dog was bone dry. Then the next theory was that she'd slipped into the water and drowned.. however again the dog was dry..and anyone who has dogs that if you go into the water your dog will be delighted to follow whatever the circumstances..

The fact her phone was still connected, the dog was dry, the dog was off leash, all point to an abduction..IMO
But I don't think a dog would allow it's owner to be abducted without trying to attack the kidnappers. In that case the dog would have ended up hurt or dead if he couldn't stop the kidnappers. It's weird. And if she left just to get away from life,I think the dog would have followed her or she would have never brought him along in the first place. And I agree about the dog diving in the water after her if she fell. Very strange case.

Oh dear, a body found in the river.
this is getting even weirder. One mile from where the dog and the phone was found ?.. Divers searched 3 miles along the river. which was only 3 feet deep. ....police searched. ..even amateur sleuths searched. Strange how if she fell into the water the dog didn't jump in thinking it was time to play..this dog was used to playing in the river.. and he was bone dry when found.

This case is getting stranger and stranger and sadly being investigated by an Inept police force..

Perhaps the body wasn't in the river at the time police and other divers were searching. But meanwhile the murderer (if there was one) became nervous, that the police could find her on his ground and threw her into the river (according to my wife).

Exactly my thoughts.. I agree with your wife. I think that she was murdered and then thrown in the river very recently.. because it's odd that the one place where there's Gorse her body was behind that, like it was deliberately hidden... AND it's been reported the police are now making investigations at a nearby Caravan park...

Yes. And it explains the fact, that the dog was not wet at that time. She has not been in the river then.

A competent coroner should be able to give a reasonably close date of death, estimate how long the body was in the water, and whether the death was due to injury or drowning.

It is very mysterious. Yet police, the trained professionals will get to the truth.
I hope all the people, the Tik Tokkers and such, who interfered by descending in great numbers on the area, are now heartily ashamed of themselves. What behaviour we see these days.
180,000 disappear each year in this country. If each case generated this level of attention we would do nothing else!
I have begun reading books about missing persons, just for my interest. I am amazed at the variety of cases and so many who have never been found.

The logistics of keeping a dead body, then putting it in the water while the whole area was covered with police and people makes it highly unlikely.
I think she was in the water all the time but the divers missed the exact spot. They cannot work instant miracles but obviously they didn't give up.
Who knows how she drowned but the pathologist will find out.

Very sad time for her family and friends. It has been such a tough time for them and now, if it is Nicola, they will have to deal with the loss and help her husband and young daughters to get through this. I am not sure anyone could ever really recover from something like this.
