When I first held the term - "He tossed the salad" I thought "Ridiculous, why toss out a perfectly good salad"?

I don't know/can't figure out what you want to know from the title of your post. What ridiculous thing are you looking for?

Nothing as much as the last few years, I barely know what people are talking about anymore !
Ha! Good answer, @Wren ! 👏 There really are some ridiculous things going on now (at the moment I'm thinking of some of the crazy TikTok stunts/challenges but that's just a start.) I 'd have never believed it if you had told me just a few years ago it was going to be like this.

When I was young the Braves were a Milwaukee team. The sign on the stadium we passed each Sunday on our way to church read "Home of the Braves". I was so proud that every game-every sport all over the country started their games by singing the " County Stadium song". You know....it ends with the words...."The land of the free and the home of the Braves".

Meeting people that can't grasp the realities of real life the way it really is and live in a bubble of the should be would be things.
Everyone's "reality" is not the same. What some call living in a "bubble" may be the very thing that is keeping someone else [i.e. suffering clinical depression] able to survive and function. Self preservation in whatever way works does not appear to be ridiculous to me.

The ACLU is against anything related to Christian religions, but they have praised a group of high school students for holding satanic church meetings after school on school grounds.

Do you mean like when a friend says they'll be back in 5 minutes, yet didn't return until an hour later?

Or a parent saying they're going to run to the store and be right back but then they back the car out of the garage?

Thank you!

The ACLU is not "against anything Christian", that statement is a misrepresentation. The ACLU's mission is in support of the U.S. Constitution.
From the article:
“Under the First Amendment, the government can’t treat one religious group less favorably than another, and it can’t give potential objectors or hecklers a ‘veto’ over unpopular speech by charging the speaker (here, the After School Satan Club) a security fee,” said Matthew Callahan, senior staff attorney for the ACLU of Virginia. “That the school district ultimately recognized this and is taking steps to correct these unlawful actions and policies is an enormous victory for free speech, religious liberty, and democracy.”

Equal protection under the law, that is what the ACLU is all about.
