Why do you think all the mass shooters are men and not women?

There’s been big advances in brain science and brain mapping in the past decade. Men’s brains are different physically, chemically and electrically from women’s. Most men are born with fewer communication brain cells than women and some are born without the brain cells dealing with love and remorse. The male brain is bathed in testosterone and the female brain in estrogen. Most male prison inmates have elevated testosterone levels. Like everything in nature, there are a few stragglers at the end of every spectrum that don’t fit the norm, and a few people are born with the brain characteristics of the opposite sex. In the case of mass shooters, I suspect there’s elevated testosterone combined with lack of brain cells dealing with remorse. But society and upbringing may play some role in that all the men with lack of love and remorse don't become criminals. Some become doctors, lawyers and business executives because they've become accustomed to the good life and wouldn't like prison accomodations. .
Brains, they are wonderful things. We can all learn a lot from them. I find them fascinating and at times I wish everyone had one. Some people I come across don’t seem to realise they haven’t got one.

Or like me, they just misplace it occasionally. I find mine in some unimaginable places -- maybe due to its own sense of curiosity? I have to try to entice it back again, with some treats. Or a saucer of full fat or creamy milk.

To say at times that I can be detached from my own brain can be an understatement.

It's a combination of testosterone and cultural conditioning. Mostly the latter. For centuries, little American boys have grown up playing with toy guns, playing "cowboys and Indians" (with lots of shooting from those toy guns,) and so on. Look at the movies kids are exposed to all the time. Who does most of the shooting in the movies?

For those who are so inclined, it takes very little to convince them that a "real man" carries a gun. It's drummed into their heads constantly by the media, especially the more insane social media. Women, not so much.

Also, don't men in more peaceful countries have as much testosterone in their bodies?
Good point!

Some of it has to do with a man's anger and rage. A lot of mass murderers have specified that their anger and rage, being bullied, hate towards certain groups like jocks, being picked on, non acceptance and childhood abuse would be some of the reasons that I have read why men commit mass murders. Terrorism should not be left out because of 9-11, which was carried out by several men of a militant Islamist group and also the shootings at Fort Hood where the Muslim Major and psychiatrist was part of a terror group on base that had brainwashed him. He was shot and paralyzed and later sentenced to death. I think he killed 13 and injured several more. He is still awaiting execution.

Men have been demeaned in society for some time. Men are portrayed as the weaker part of relationships. Just look at TV commercials, women are viewed as strong and men as helpless. In general men have the physically harder jobs, have the lesser life span, are more likely to get PTSD or other mental illnesses relating to military service (which are predominantly men). Men are more likely to be devastated in divorce, both mentally, and financially. During hard times, there are more assistance for women than men. Men are more responsible for other people. There are more men living homeless in the streets. And if they try to stand up for themselves, they are labeled sexist. Ya, its not easy being a real man. Most men live lives in quiet desperation. They are labeled to protect and provide, but are ridiculed if they do too much of either. Men have to be strong, women do not form relationships looking for weak men. The list goes on and on.

The end goal is to breakdown the family nucleus. I think it started in 1965 by LBJ with the Great Society law.
In order for government to control constituents, the family unit must be disassembled so men are no longer seen as the provider/protector.
You only have to look as far as how society demeans men and wants to remove the power they have over a family.
  • Mothers are called birthing people
  • Children being told to trust their teachers and school administrations in they sexual orientation
  • The identification of pronouns to remove titles of authority from the family
  • The replacement of money to women, from men as a provider to the government being the provider
  • The disbanding of local police forces (to install a Federal Police Force)
  • Lawyers defending children against parents (children suing their parents because they weren't asked to be born)
The breakdown of the American family is the end goal.

An interesting question. I think women are mainly just not aggressive like men. I guess most crimes are committed by men. There are exceptions of course, in history there are famous evil women, but it is true most mass murders are not done by women.

That is very interesting, Neuroscience been a topic of interest for me, since college. Do you have a link you could share?

You forgot to blame Noam Chomsky or was that Saul Alinsky? I forgot.
Actually, Saul Alinsky.
I didn't blame him. If you read his writings, he actually, truly believes Socialism is the answer to Americas problems.
Although I do not agree with him, I'll give him credit for being able to articulate his views in a non-combative way.
Its hard to have constructive dialog these days with the controlling party supporters.

I would love to hear more, but first let me get out the tin-foil hat.

It's interesting to note that in Federal prison the inmate population is 93.1% male, and 6.9% female. BOP That is surprising to me, when I worked in the county jails I noticed that the ratio of male to female inmates was about 5:1. But, at the Federal level various factors may be in play, like the types of offenses that Federal criminal defendants may be committing, that differ from the typical county prisoner.

I live [too] close to two federal penitentiaries and both of them house only males. One is high security and one medium. Now that I'm thinking of it, I have no idea where they send women with offenses on that level in my area.

Google male and female brains and you will get many links. The link below is to a Stanford University article. Two paragraphs from the article are copied below. The bulk of my information came from books in a science library at a university that aren’t on-line.

https://stanmed.stanford.edu/how-mens-and-womens-brains-are-different/

“Women excel in several measures of verbal ability — pretty much all of them, except for verbal analogies. Women’s reading comprehension and writing ability consistently exceed that of men, on average. They outperform men in tests of fine-motor coordination and perceptual speed. They’re more adept at retrieving information from long-term memory.

Men, on average, can more easily juggle items in working memory. They have superior visuospatial skills: They’re better at visualizing what happens when a complicated two- or three-dimensional shape is rotated in space, at correctly determining angles from the horizontal, at tracking moving objects and at aiming projectiles.”
