Our Water Tax will increase come October

My water bill is going up this year but im not on a meter so I pay and get as much as I want , thats handy in summer when theres a dry spell and i want to water my garden

Yes, $171.10 paid twice in April and October. That's not a flat rate - I have metered water. That's based on usage - some pay more, some less. It would be a lot less if we didn't have a debt service charge on it. That's to pay for the sewage treatment facility.

Every single utility bill I pay has gone up in the past 18 months or so. If you paid that $342 for the whole year, it sounds great to me. Ours was more like $720... not a big house, not a lot of water usage.

It's understandable for Utility rates and taxes to increase. As costs continue to rise, consumers need to pay more if they expect safe and reliable service.

I own the water rights on my property and I have a nice well. I have set aside some funds in case I ever have to replace the pump but except for electricity there are no monthly expenses.

Our’s is going up. Being in arizona I personally think it should cost enough so we think before we use. I had been putting off fixing a leaky toilet. When I fixed it my bill dropped 80 dollars a month. I am a typical consumer….I am reactive not proactive. Make it hurt and I will conserve.

I'm assuming that's a unit? That's the way it measured when I owned the house and paid for water. There was a base cost and then cost for each unit. I usually only used 1-2 units a month.
