Not what I would do, but I don't see all that much difference between this and what is commonly acceptable in our culture regarding the deceased.
 
You can have some of the ashes made into a necklace or bracelet or enclosed in a manufactured stone in a ring.

Apparently you can do the same with a portion of your baby’s placenta.

There’s no accounting for tastes! 🤷‍♀️
And in the 1880s, didn't they make pictures and amulets out of the hair of the deceased?
