Favourite brands of tea or coffee

A cup of coffee every morning. I grind my own beans and the WalMart Sam's Choice organic coffee beans (Sumatra variety) was my usual, but it's disappeared from store shelves lately. So I'm using Death Wish Coffee Co.'s Dark Roast whole beans now. They have a cool, piratical skull & crossbones logo and claim they're "the World's Strongest Coffee". It's pretty good stuff, they advertise it as fair trade produced and USDA organic. I drink it black and use a Bonavita coffeemaker.

I drink a cup or two of tea in the early evening. Lipton green tea is good enough for me and I do not sweeten it. Alternatively I'll opt for turmeric or ginger citrus turmeric tea......I'm not loyal to any particular brand but it's always organic. No sweetener for me......no sugar at all in my diet actually...except for what's in fruit. And some honey in a whole grain and bean flour bread that I make for myself.

Nabob Espresso ground coffee. Black, no sugar, no additions of any kind. It’s a large stainless steel mug in the morning and just a few mouthfuls of reheated coffee after lunch. For travel, it’s Starbuck’s instant singles. Today I bought 6 bags of McCafe organic coffee because it was half price.

The largest size package bag I buy is 300/340 gm. It goes stale too quickly otherwise.

Tea is only consumed when I’m sick. My British friends gave me some nice tea bags for Xmas 2021. Obviously they hated whatever I was serving. I didn’t have a clue because I didn’t drink it. Maybe I’d better buy a new box of tea bags since the ones from Dec 21 will be stale, maybe.

At home I like Yorkshire teabags, no sugar , just milk. I gave up sugar in tea years ago i find I can taste the tea far better. I also buy Yorkshire decaffs and alternate my drinks, to keep caffeine levels down.

I don't drink coffee as it is too strong a taste for me and too much caffeine.

So what do you like?
I do coffee, but almost beige in color (Lots of cream, lots of Splenda) and usually it's from 7-11 as I pay $1.62 for 32 ounces. The coconut is really great with either hazel nut, or French Vanilla, but it can't be chilled.

I've had chilled FV and coconut and the flavor barely made it through. But warm creamer sets it off for some reason.

Red Rose Tea had the best commercial ever. The famous Red Rose Monkeys!

I like maple syrup in coffee sometimes, too.

I rarely drink tea... But when it comes to coffee, I enjoy it and I don't really have a favorite. When I see a new brand, I always try it and I love sampling different brands and roasts. NOT flavored, though... I'm definitely not a flavored coffee drinker. :coffee:

Coffee addict here. Aeropress is perfect for one cup of perfectly brewed coffee.

AeroPress Coffee Maker Official Store

I agree BC. The aeropress makes the best cup. Unfortunately, I loaned it to my son to try and now he can't find it.

I told him to forget about it cuz TBH, it's kind of fussy to set up first thing in the morning.
Never heard of an Aeropress before but looked it up. Seems to be a French press variation. When FPs were all the rage a decade-ish ago, I bought one but donated it after a few tries.

Yeah, the coffee was good, but the process took too long and required too much personal involvement - that's what machines are for. Its death knell was the unholy mess of grounds after each (paltry) 8 oz cup.

Is the Aeropress better?

tea smee...I am not like 'james bond commercial' cant tell the difference between spring water or the creek. coffee I sometimes grind my own of some off the shelf variety bean but mostly I use folgers instant coffee crystals.

Folgers French Vanilla in the coffeemaker in the morning. I'm not a connoisseur so not fussy and don't bother with freshly ground coffee beans, cold water and whatever all else. I set it up in the evening and hit the timer so it'll be there when I roll outta bed. The aroma of freshly-brewed coffee is a swell wakeup.

If I want coffee during the day, I brew a cup in the Keurig.

Iced tea is what I usually drink year round. Publix has raspberry iced tea, which is really too sweet, so I cut it half and half with water.

I’m not fussy. I like Folgers for coffee, but will use Maxwell House if necessary. Both are bought in half-caff. Straight black, no nothing. For tea, I use Lipton or Tetley.

I also like Bigelow Chamamile at night in the winter. I don’t use any sugar or milk, but do use Stevia.
