The word "Kitten" is important here. Food first thing in the morning for CoffeeBean at currently 7 months old, is a pouch of meat and jelly. He scoffs this while I get my morning routine done. Difficult to do, even just putting the food into his bowl. As I'm shadowed by him with every moves.
Trying to open pouch is a fun thing as he kisses my fingers, head rubs, purrs and tail hugs my head. Then he eats, slurps water in his fountain and runs back to me, trying to catch the milk pouring into my coffee cup.
Then we have a paw fight with him trying to push whatever I'm brushing off the counter into the scoop. Then he snuggles under my arms while we wait together for kettle to be boiled. Fun mornings...
Lunch and it's another run of fun. Today, we were having a salad with plum baby tomatoes and roast beef scraps and Caesar dressing with a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese grated. Guess who sat pretty, stretching his paws to reach into our bowls to get the roast beef scraps? CoffeeBean!
He ate more beef than us lol! Currently, he's had a lap of coffee, sticking his head into my cup. Now he's asleep on my feet at the end of my futon.
At 6pm, he'll get his second pouch for the day. Topping up his dry bits, Turkey and Rice for sensitive stomach. He'll hang around catching the ones falling out of the feeder.
Definitely, he'll come over to do the paw trick again with the chicken and bacon pasta for our dinner. Then once in our bedroom, he'll once more stuck his head in my cup for a lap of tea.
Cover me and daughter with kisses, head rubs, love nips (we do give him goodnight kisses) and then he'll stretch between the two of us making sure he touches both of us with his body.
The biggest blessings someday are from the smallest member of our family. Pure cat love ... From our CoffeeBean!
