Selective Outrage

Selective Outrage....Chris Rock is always spot-on with his comedy, in Selective Outrage his social commentary is just so hilariously on the mark. Chris Rock calls out the hypocrisy in today's world while making it all so...laughable.

I love Chris Rock's tell-it-like-it-is style...nobody is spared!
Well I haven't seen CR's show.. but I saw his piece on the offensive hedonsitic duo which are Will Smith and his wife.. and he was right when he said that when WS hit him in the face at the awards show it wasn't because Chris had done anything to annoy WS but because WS was outraged at his own wife's infidelity, and was made to look more of a fool when she chose to tell him about it while interviewing him, completely emasculating him, .... and he took his outrage out on Chris.

I look at Will Smith in a different light since that incident. I’ll pass on his movies, but I was never a fan anyway.

Chris Rock rocks. I will take him any day over Kevin Hart. Kevin is no longer funny. I don’t know what happened to him. Just hearing Chris’s voice makes me laugh

I was reading in People’s magazine not too long ago about comedians being attacked while onstage. What’s with that?

Oh, I hadn't heard about that! That paints a whole different picture of the WS punches CR incident.

I have always liked Chris Rock, he just gets to the heart of the matter in comedic style. Kevin Hart? I haven't seen much of his material, but IMO his style is just annoying, I can't quite put my finger on it....

o_O Ouch, that's some potent stuff. I know I should go Google it, but what did that have to do with Chris Rock?
well it's what Chris said is the reason that Will Smith was mad as hell on the night of the awards. His wife had just told him she'd had an affair with a 21 year old..in an interview.. and asked him how he felt about it... and Chris feels that he thought that as Will Smith felt emasculated by it, he had to prove to his wife and others that he was '' a man'' and when Chris made his joke about Jada.. at the awards.. Chris said that he became a target for WS outrage...

Several years ago, my husband and I paid a lot of money for tickets to see Chris Rock in person. We sat in that theater for an hour and a half, watching pre-show nonsense, waiting for him to come on stage. When he finally showed up, he did a short, forty-minute show with no encore. We felt that we'd spent too much for so little. Yes, he's funny, and we really enjoyed him, which is why we went to see him in person. But since he ripped us off, I'll watch him on TV, but I've never felt quite the same way about him. On the other hand, Bill Maher gave us a fantastic two-hour live show with no pre-show nonsense that was worth every cent.

Will Smith is a jerk and way overrated as an actor. I never cared for him, even before he clocked Chris Rock.

So Jada's 'Entanglement' With August Alsina came about after she and Will called it quits? What was Will Smith's issue...love, or pride?
After splitting with my ex I could give a d*mn what she does or who she...

I remember a friend of mine living nearby had his grandkids one snowy day a few years back and they were watching some Disney movie while my friend and I were drinking coffee in the dining room and Chris Rock did the voice over of a zebra. You can’t miss that voice. I don’t know the name of the movie.

yes but I think it was because she told him about it on Camera.. in an interview .. which Chris Rock feels is what got WS all riled up and took his anger ''selective outrage'' on him instead of her..or even her boyfriend

I have no desire to watch anything that Will Smith is in now.
Me neither.. and not just because he hit Chris Rock, altho' that was bad enough, and completely unprofessional, but since then we've discovered more about the toxic personality of both WS and his wife... *ugh*... I have absolutely no desire to line his hedonistic pockets with any more money by watching anything he's in..

This Jada/Will conversation was uncomfortable to watch.

And their way to wrap it up - jointly saying, "We ride together, we die together, bad marriage for life"???
Gotta wonder about that being a couple's motto.
Will and Jada Smith have always given off a bad vibe to me. I know many people say the same about Jada, because she is very odd.... but up until his attack on Chris, the majority of people though well of WS... but not me, there's always been something about the both of them that doesn't sit well with me.. I don't know what it is.. but it's an instinct..

I can't watch the video because I don't belong to that site, but Chris Rock has been my favorite comedian for a long time now. I was stunned by Will Smith's slap and still can't believe that one entertainer would attack another while he was on stage.
